Littleton, MA — The Engineering News-Record (ENR) announced its winning regional projects which included Orlando International Airport-Terminal C in its Best Project Airport/Transit category.
The ENR Regional Best Project Awards celebrate and honor the various industry teams that create the best projects over the past year. Industry leaders in design and construction comprise the independent juries that judge projects using five criteria which includes, safety, innovation, and teamwork.
The Terminal C project is a multi-phase, multi-year effort that involves many stakeholders. The Middlesex Corporation, one of the key project partners, has two dedicated project teams to the overall campaign in support of Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) job. One team is focused on GMP 5S.2 Site, Civil & Utilities while the second team works on GMP 5S.5 – Enplane/Deplane.
“Given the overall breadth and scope of the GOAA project, it has been vital that we communicate with all partners and firms involved,” said Neil Mulrooney, Senior Vice President-Construction, Middlesex. “In doing so collectively we have been able to stay to plan both effectively and efficiently. The end product of Terminal C will have a vast and positive impact to this area as well as all who travel to and through Orlando International.”
