Buena Vista Drive Corridor Improvement

Paving
Orlando, FL
Award Winner

This project is typical of Middlesex Paving’s commitment and participation as a paving subcontractor partnering with the General Contractor and other subcontractors to complete this project safely, with quality, and to meet the challenging completion schedule.

The construction and paving of the Buena Vista Drive Improvement Project involved the reconstruction and widening of the primary access corridor to a renowned family theme park’s shopping and entertainment complex. The complex was active with paving and construction working around the high volume of tourist traffic and buses that required continuous access through this area.

Due to the high volume of traffic, and heavy bus traffic, the asphalt paving included a top lift of Friction Course utilizing Superpave Traffic D mix, with high-polymer PG 82-10 as a specialty binder. The quality of the asphalt paving and the final roadway surface earned this project recognition for Excellence in Paving Award from the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida.
