Littleton, MA — Following a successful year from a business perspective, team members from The Middlesex Corporation closed out 2023 by collecting, donating, wrapping, and contributing to regional non-profits based in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida.
Holiday Toy Drive: Team members in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Florida collected over 700 new, unwrapped toys for children and families in need. The toys were donated One Heart for Women and Children (FL), Ginny’s Helping Hand (MA), and Middletown Recreation (CT). In addition, Middlesex donated $10 for every toy to local area food banks.
P381 Dry Dock project Toy & Food Drive: The joint venture project with Kiewit and Cianbro at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard saw team members team up with Toys for Tots and Footprints Food Pantry of Kittery, ME. Together, they raised $5,000 in gifts for area children and collected nonperishable food items at the annual drive at the Kittery Trading Post
SE Region Food Pantry Volunteers: Middlesex team members and their families volunteered with Second Harvest Food Bank in Orlando, FL to help process and package food donations equal to over 11,000 meals for families in need.
“As a company, we take pride in all the various projects, be they heavy civil, asphalt, paving or aggregate, along with the impact they make throughout the year,” said Matt St. Hillaire, Chief Human Resources Officer, Middlesex. “We find it equally prideful to be involved and give back to the communities where our work takes place. While we participate in many activities over the course of the year, the year-end holidays make giving a little bit more special.”
