Annual Florida-based event supports local charities
Littleton, MA — The Middlesex Corporation presented a donation to Construction Angels CEO and Founder Kristi Ronyak and Board Member Patrick Carr. The Middlesex donation was generated from the proceeds of its 8th annual Southeast region charitable golf tournament. Construction Angels is a Florida-based non-profit agency that provides immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to the children (19 years & younger) and spouse left behind when a construction worker is involved in a work-related fatality.
“While Middlesex has a long-standing commitment to safety, situations can arise that are out of our control,” said Neil Mulrooney, SVP Construction at Middlesex Corporation. “And through those times, agencies such as Construction Angels are created. Middlesex is honored to support their mission through our charitable efforts.”
Middlesex team members, business partners, and other local vendors play in the 18-hole tournament; other Middlesex team members also volunteer their time to ensure the event runs smoothly. In addition, the company also organizes a charitable golf tournament in its Northeast region; that event was held Saturday, September 7, 2024. Proceeds from that effort will be donated to the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV – www.nechv.org) in the coming weeks.
Over the course of the past eight years, between the two tournaments, Middlesex has raised more than $350,000 for various local charities.
