Company extends its commitment to #1 Core Value – Safety
Littleton, MA — The Middlesex Corporation provided new Type II Safety Helmets to team members of two New England-based project sites as a part of its pilot program of supplying enhanced safety equipment. The Type II Safety Helmets provide superior defense against impacts to the front, back, and sides of the head.
Middlesex selected Studson helmets which have an expanded foam inner shell, which reduces impact energy, decreases impact force to the head, and minimizes the likelihood of concussions and other head injuries. The chinstrap keeps head protection in place especially in matters of a fall or struck-by event.
The helmets are designed for all work types and utilizes cutting-edge head protection components used in extreme sports. The safety helmets have an ANSI Type II rating along with the additional protection of high-density foam lining, which surpasses ANSI Type II testing protocol.
In addition, as an option to the team members, there is a TWICEme RFID tag molded into the back of the helmet. This integrated chip stores emergency contacts and critical medical information that first responders can access when needed.
“As a part of its 50+ year history, Middlesex has firmly established its commitment to safety,” said Joshua Wernig, Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, General Manager at Middlesex Corporation. “It is a core value throughout the organization, whether you work in the back office or on a job site, Middlesex focuses on making all work environments safe. The helmets are another example of that important priority.”
Middlesex will continue to roll out Studson Type II Safety helmets to all of its project-based team members for the remainder of 2024 and through the first two quarters of 2025.
