Team members donate non-perishable goods for organizations in Connecticut, Florida, and Massachusetts
Littleton, MA — The Middlesex Corporation, with offices in Connecticut, Florida, and Massachusetts coordinated food drives to benefit three separate food pantries:
- Wheat, Inc. (https://www.wheatpantry.org/), Connecticut
- Second Harvest Food Bank of Central FL (https://www.feedhopenow.org/site/SPageServer/), Florida
- Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, Inc. (https://loavesfishespantry.org/), Massachusetts
Each pantry received a variety of non-perishable goods donated by Middlesex team members who work and live in those states.
From October 28 through November 8, 2024, team members took the opportunity to bring an assortment of non-perishable goods which were noted on each pantry’s “Most Needed Items” list. Office locations in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts provided collection bins for the donated items.
Middlesex established its annual food drive program in 2020. The 50+ year company, recently recognized as a Top Place to Work–Construction Industry–develops and builds infrastructure projects in New England and Florida that have a positive impact in those areas where the project takes place. The Middlesex food drive program is another way to be involved and make a positive contribution to those communities.
“Middlesex takes pride in delivering on its many heavy civil construction projects in Florida and New England,” said Matt St. Hilaire, Chief Human Resource Officer at Middlesex Corporation. “Whether it is structural, or paving, or developing the materials needed for the projects, Middlesex consistently contributes to communities via their work. These regional food drives are an extension of being involved in the communities and allow our team members to participate in making an additional positive mark for the area residents.”
Over the course of the past four years Middlesex has donated in excess of $75,000 worth of non-perishable items to different regional food banks.
