Combined GMP 1B & 4 provided the majority of the site work, roads, bridges and retaining walls for the new Automated People Mover (APM) servicing the new south terminal.
Constructed remotely from the main terminal, the new south terminal is connected to the main terminal by an automated people mover. The construction manager at risk for GOAA selected Middlesex for both the site work package (GMP 1B) that included pond construction, storm water system, and erosion control, as wall as the civil site work package (GMP 4) that included roads, bridges, and MSE retained fill approaches. As work progresses multiple design changes were issued and work directed on a time and materials basis.
