This design build project consists of the I-495 and the Route 28 (Exit 41) Interchange in Andover, MA, including all ramps and sections of Route 28. The total length of the project is approximately 5.6K FT.

The goals are to rehabilitate the existing I-495 bridges over Route 28 and the MBTA Railroad as well as improve the safety of the existing ramp merge and diverge operations on I-495 NB between the Route 28 on-ramp and the Route 114 SB off-ramp. The six existing bridges will be reconstructed and widened to accommodate a future fourth lane in each direction. This project also includes, pavement rehabilitation, drainage improvements, guardrail and median barrier replacement, highway signage, and other incidental items.
