I-75 (SR 93) From S. Of US 98/Cortez To N. Of US 98/SR 50 To Sumter
This I-75 project’s scope consisted of roadway widening and reconstruction to a 6-lane roadway, providing for a future 8 to 10-lane typical section. Also included was widening and reconstructing a section of SR 50 to a 6-lane urban typical section, with accommodations for a future 8-lane section.
Dual left turns were introduced on the entrance to SR 50 for a Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI) configuration. Median openings and left turn lanes were provided intermittently along the SR 50 corridor.
Middlesex was also responsible for replacing 2 I-75 bridges over SR 50 and the widening 4 NB and SB bridges over Croom Rital Road and Withlacoochee River.
