Scope of Work
- Turkey Lake Parking Lot: Selective clearing, relocation of palm trees, demo of curbs, asphalt, base, excavation of existing material, installation of landscaping root vaults and backfill, installation of electrical & ITS underground, backfill of islands with landscape soils, island perimeter curbs, ribbon & header curbs, 57 stone under pervious concrete layer, pavement markings for parking stalls, small & large plants, irrigation, decorative light & ITS poles, parking stops. Bridge superstructure with reinforced concrete deck on 36” FIB Girders
- Mainline: Milling and resurfacing of 5.1 miles of four NB & SB lanes, guardrail replacement, shoulder gutter repair, single post & multi-post signs, and temporary & permanent pavement markings. and drainage storm water improvements.
Unique Challenges
- Restrictions of Working on 1 of 10 parking sections at a time.
- Working with previous concrete and expertise and its control of its subcontractor.
- Wehicles traveling in excess of 70 mph near work zone emphasized safety for team.
- 40 lane miles paved, including cross slope corrections
