Tampa Airport Air Cargo Expansion
The project is being delivered as a design-build and is divided into two separate contracts, design and procurement (Part I), and construction (Part II).
The project scope includes design and construction of a new air cargo transfer facility for United Parcel Service (UPS) capable of receiving up to four planes at once. The existing site required clearing and grading of land previously occupied by residential or commercial buildings and city streets. Construction of new apron and taxiway, is contiguous with the existing FedEx air cargo transfer facility. Employee parking, truck and trailer staging areas, are included with the cargo building. An existing City of Tampa pump station was relocated.
