Asphalt Manufacturing

Since 2004, Middlesex has been operating one of the largest and most productive asphalt plants in the state of Florida.

We pride ourselves in being an environmentally responsible producer of Superpave, FAA, and all standard bituminous concrete designs.

The Middlesex Corporation has been operating one of the largest and most productive asphalt manufacturing plants in the state of Florida since 2004.

Asphalt Manufacturing Facility

Today, the plant boasts ten 300 ton Hot Mix Storage Silos, which allows us to store up to ten different mixes at a time. The storage capacity is 3,000 tons and the production compacity is 500 tons per hour.

We also added a state-of-the-art QA/QC testing laboratory that is fully certified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT Qualified Laboratory No. A0743), Federal Aviation Authority, Central Florida Expressway (CFX), and the Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC Accreditation No. 14202). Our experienced in-house staff of quality control technicians are certified through the FDOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) and ensure that we provide the highest quality product at all times, across the laboratory and our project sites.

Our investment in this site has paid dividends in the form of support and supplementation for our paving projects, allowing us to lay over 1 million tons of asphalt annually.
